When you mention Vlieland, you think of Stortemelk. As a lover of tent camping, this camping site is a must-see. Located in a natural dune terrain on the North Sea beach, it has over 1,000 camping pitches and more than 100 rental accommodations.
Last year, Stortemelk switched to a new website with a new booking system. Close cooperation with designer Copilots, website builder Prosuco and reservation system Tommy Booking Support created a wonderful new product. The run on rental properties took off immediately after the website went live. Within a few hours, the high season was fully booked.
Apart from seasonal bookings, Vlieland's festival Into The Great Wide Open poses an additional challenge. During that four-day festival at the end of the school holidays, the vast majority of music fans stay at Stortemelk. For this too, Tommy, Prosuco and Stortemelk arranged, in close consultation with the ITWGO organisation, a smooth distribution of the available festival places.
